Washington, D.C, 11 de Abril 2010 — La Sra. Rosa Núñez, Chilena, y en representación de la Campaña Nacional a favor del Estatus de Protección Temporal (Temporary Protected Status, o TPS como es conocido por sus siglas en TPS Ingles) para Chile la cual seria de beneficio para más de 68 mil chilenos sin estatus migratorio en los Estados Unidos, fue invitada por el Sr. Christian Hodges-Nugent D. Cónsul de Chile en Washington, D.C. para asistir a una misa en Washington D.C. y a una recepción privada para personalmente hablar con el Presidente Sebastián Piñera el día 11 de abril, 2010. El propósito de esta invitación era que la Sra. Rosa Núñez hablara con el Presidente Sebastián Piñera para pedirle respetuosamente que solicite a su homónimo americano el presidente Barack Obama el TPS y entregarle la carta que aquí esta publicada (www.chilequake.org/presidente-pinera)
Letter and Meeting with President President of Chile Sebastián Piñera on April 11, 2010
Washington, D.C., April 11, 2010 – Mrs. Rosa Núñez, a Chilean national, and in representation of the National Campaign in favor of Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for Chile, an immigration benefit that would help approximately 68 thousand Chileans living in the United States, was invited by Mr. Christian Hodges-Nugent D. Consul of Chile in Washington, D.C., to attend a Mass in Washington, D.C. and a private reception afterwards to speak personally with the President of Chile Sebastián Piñera on Sunday April 11, 2010. The purpose of this exclusive invitation was to allow Mrs. Rosa Núñez the opportunity to personally speak with President Sebastián Piñera and respectfully request formally reach out to his head of state counterpart U.S. President Barack Obama for TPS consideration or Chile and give President Sebastián Piñera the letter we have published here (www.chilequake.org/presidente-pinera).
